2011 Santa Fe Springs IV Tournament

PANTERAS WIN THEIR SECOND CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE YEAR!

The Panteras go a perfect 6-0 over the weekend to capture their second championship of the year.  In the championship game it was a rematch from May with the Panteras once again facing off against J&B Painting. 

The Panteras had an arsenal of pitchers for the tournament with Max Montero, Travis Price, Ryan Webb and Dennis Webb. The Panteras went 3-0 in the round robin allowing only 2 runs, however they earned the number one seed by scoring 5 more runs than San Diego Primetime who also went 3-0 and allowed 2 runs. 

On Sunday the Panteras opened against the Colton Dirt Bags who played the morning game.  The Panteras came out on top with a 7-6 win.  In the semi-finals they faced Liberty FP and won 10-1 to get to the championship game.

Travis Price was in the circle for the Panteras against Gerald Pyle of J&B Painting.  The Panteras got a run in the first with Robert Renteria tripling in a run.  In the second the Panteras piled on 4 more runs including a 3 run home run by Rob Ramos.  They added another run in the fourth inning to take a 6-0 lead and give Price a cushion if needed.  Price only allowed two singles in the game to earn the complete game win. 

J&B came into the round robin as the number 3 seed, going 2-1 in the round robin.  They opened the single elimination against Macabbi USA and won 6-1.  In the semi-finals they faced San Diego Primetime and came out on top 3-1 to face the Panteras in the championship game.
